Explore Salt Lake City

Most Salt Lake City hotels sit downtown near Temple Square, the Salt Palace Convention Center, and the Delta Center, home of the Utah Jazz and the city's NHL team. Salt Lake City International (SLC) is only about 10 minutes away, making it one of the easiest airports in the country for a ski trip.

Temple Square is the city's best-known landmark, with its historic buildings and gardens at the center of downtown. Nearby, the Utah State Capitol overlooks the valley from Capitol Hill, and the City Creek Center offers shopping under a retractable roof.

The Wasatch Mountains rise just east of the city. Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude sit in the Cottonwood Canyons about 40 minutes away, and Park City is about 35 minutes east. In summer, the same mountains offer hiking and mountain biking, and the Great Salt Lake is a short drive west.
