Explore Dallas

Most Dallas hotels sit downtown, in Uptown, and around Victory Park, all linked by light rail and trolley. Whether you're here for a Mavericks or Stars game, a show in Deep Ellum, or a convention at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, you'll find two airports to choose from: Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL).

Downtown holds the Dallas Arts District, the largest contiguous urban arts district in the country, along with Klyde Warren Park, a green space built over a freeway. Nearby, Dealey Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum tell the story of November 1963.

Arlington, about 20 miles west, is home to AT&T Stadium, where the Cowboys play, and Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers. Fort Worth's Stockyards, with twice-daily cattle drives, make an easy day trip from any Dallas hotel.

Getting around

  • DART's Orange Line runs from DFW Airport to downtown in about 50 minutes; Love Field (DAL) is about 15 minutes from downtown by car.
  • DART light rail covers downtown and Victory Park, and the free M-Line trolley runs through Uptown.
  • For Cowboys and Rangers games in Arlington, plan on driving or rideshare, since there's no rail link.
  • Dallas is spread out, so a car or rideshare helps for anything beyond the urban core.
