Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte Uptown

The Hotel is very clean and comfortable, great access to downtown, easy check-in and check-out. Staff was very friendly .

I was suprised that parking was $35.00 a night and breakfast was $50 as thse two services are listed as amenities on the website and should be included for overnight guests. Breakfast included was one of the reasons this Hotel was selected. At check-in they even gave the breakfast hours as if it was included, never once mentioning that breakfast was an extra cost. Very disappointing

I liked how clean the property was.

Our room was not ready when we arrived at 4:30pm. I had booked since it was close to a stadium we were going to for a concert at 6:30pm so we weren’t able to check in prior to the concert and the hotel had no parking spots left so we had to park off property and leave our luggage in the car until after the concert. We arrived back after 11pm and had another long line of people who hadn’t been able to check in prior to the concert trying to get checked in. When I first learned our room would not be ready prior to the concert when we arrived I asked if I could just cancel for free since they weren’t ready for us and they said no since it was through booking.com.

The location was great! There was a market event across the street from the hotel the morning we were checking out which was nice to see.

The hotel was old and minimally kept. The shower has a thick layer of caulking around it which looked like it was done by a nonprofessional. The beds were missing bed skirts, which meant I was looking at the mattress foundation/box spring. The carpet really needed to be cleaned. We were put in a room that had a stained toilet. Fortunately, they did move us.
