It was fine
Had a middling hotel experience, hence the 3 stars. Maybe I built up my expectations a bit, but when I paid for a “courtyard view” and just got a first floor room with a “view” of a brick wall it was pretty disappointing and felt like a rip off since I paid the same as the people with an actual courtyard view. The room was cleaned acceptably, but not sparkling. However, the rug was pretty grimy. The in-room amenities were extremely sparse. No water bottles or any nice touches. It was smaller than what I saw in pictures here. Security felt flimsy as the door seemed like I could open it if I just put my weight into it since it was loosely latched. During the day it’s also possible to just walk straight into the courtyard without being a guest so it’s fine, but not confidence inspiring. Customer service was fine, with typical New Orleans character.
